Surface
The surface is the main hub area of Pâquerette Down the Bunburrows. It contains three rooms, each with unique features.
Shop
Surface-Shop is the room the player spawns in when starting a new file or when using the Return to Surface option in the menu. It contains the surface elevator and four cages with buns in them. The cages can be interacted with for special dialogue.
When first arriving, there is an uncapturable bunny on the ground at the bottom half of the screen. It will run away to the right when approached.
Once the player has captured 20 bunnies, the shop will be turned into its expanded version, with more interactibles with more dialogue.
If the player has the Supporter Pack DLC, they can choose to put on or take off the Ophéline disguise in the expanded shop.
Pen
Surface-Pen, located west of Surface-Shop, has the bunny pen where all captured bunnies are kept. Ophéline also appears on this screen, allowing Pâquerette to talk to her. She brings with her a computer that she places next to her, allowing access to detailed progress. Le Bunbot (a robot that can recapture any previously released bunnies) will also appear beside Ophéline once it is unlocked.
Burrows
Surface-Burrows, located east of Surface-Shop, contains the entrances to the five main bunburrows. Once the room is entered with a bunny in the pen, a sign will appear to the left of each hole, showing the unlock requirement for locked burrows, and progress in unlocked burrows. The signs can also be used to release all bunnies from their respective burrows back into their respective levels.
Teleports to certain deeper levels also become available here once the player has visited those levels.
There is also a sign on the left side that allows releasing all of the captured buns.
If the player has captured any void bunnies, a sign will appear near the top right corner of the room that allows the void bunnies to be released.
