E-2 is the second level in the forgotten bunburrow. It contains only one bunny, E-2-1, and can be accessed from E-1, C-2, NE?-2, and E-3.

Introductory concepts

E-2 is the first level to feature a shovel, and is typically the first place players will encouter one. However, shovels can be encountered earlier by unlocking the power in C-13 and breaking into the forgotten bunburrow through the hay bunburrow.

Solutions

Intended solutions

E-2-1 has two intended home capture solutions. Both involve catching it with a trap:

  • Break the only accessible breakable wall of the upper tunnel with the pickaxe. From there, two similar trap placements are possible:
      • Place the trap on the broken tile
      • Chase E-2-1 into the leftmost entry into upper tunnel and into the trap
      • Place the trap on the leftmost walkable tile of the level
      • Chase E-2-1 onto the broken tile
      • Chase E-2-1 upwards and to the left, into the tunnel and into the trap
  • Break the wall at 7 tiles from the left of the level and 4 tiles from the top of the level, with the top-left corner being (0, 0) (7, 4). From there, two similar trap placements are possible:
      • Place the trap directly below the broken tile
      • Chase E-2-1 rightwards and through the 2-tile-long tunnel
      • Chase E-2-1 downwards and into the trap
      • Place the trap at 5 tiles from the left of the level and 6 tiles from the top of the level, with the top-left corner being (0, 0) (5, 6)
      • Chase E-2-1 1 tile rightwards, 2 tiles downwards and 1 tile rightwards
      • Pick up the trap without scaring E-2-1
      • Place the trap at 8 tiles from the left of the level and 3 tiles from the top of the level, with the top-left corner being (0, 0) (8, 3)
      • Chase E-2-1 rightwards and then into the trap

Alternative solutions using the shovel

Other setups for making E-2-1 run into a trap exist, but they make use of the shovel, which can only be unlocked after capturing E-2-1. It technically has a practical usage, as the shovel still gets unlocked even with just a half capture. This means E-2-1 can be captured in an invalid stack together with E-1-1 in order to unlock the shovel, only to then reset the level and home capture E-2-1 using the shovel. However, given how many of those solutions exist, an exhaustive list currently does not exist.

Alternative solutions using sleeping

Other solutions for capture E-2-1 exist, but they make use of the sleeping mechanic, which is only supposed to be taught to players later in the game. However, given how many of those solutions exist, an exhaustive list currently does not exist.

Couples

A total of 9 babies can be obtained from E-2-1.

  • Making E-1-1 fall into E-2 allows for an easy baby. It also allows bringing E-1-1 down to E-3 and E-4.
  • Using the pickaxe and shovel, re-entering the level from E-3 on a wall tile, it's possible to access C-2.
    • This not only enables babies from E-2-1 with C-2-1 and N-2-1 (the latter being possible through a bunsplosion in C-2), but also allows bringing C-2-1 down to E-3 and E-4.
  • Using the shovel, the trap, and the various tunnels from E-2, E-2-1 can easily be brought down to E-3 and E-4.
    • Although, because of the wall layout in E-2, no bunny can be sent from E-2 to E-3-2. This means that E-2-1 x E-3-2, E-1-1 x E-3-2, and C-2-1 x E-3-2 are not possible to obtain.
